Things Pick Up

I left my Mog House today and checked the Auction House. A bunch of Fire Crystals sold and other items I had picked up while fighting Vultures. This was a real nice treat. I have reached a moderate level 9 as a Red Mage. I added some new spells like Stone, Paralyze, Poison, Protect and Blind. I probably use Stone and Cure the most though.

I bought a Short Bow and 99 Wooden Arrows. I have been praticing using it every chance I get and I think its paying off.

I made a trip to the Dangruff Wadi with some adventurers I met on the way. I forget their names but it was fun to meet some new people. I didn't mind seeing the new area but I didn't stay with them long. I still want to solo as much as I can so I can quickly earn cash rather than quickly leveling. We battled some Goblins and Hares.

I went over to the Lighthouse in South Gustenburg and found it a fun area. The Goblins and Vultures are a treat but it soon got busy because its so close to the gate to Bastok that I moved to the Ferimoles.

The Ferimoles themselves aren't all that great but if you move West a little you will find flocks of Vultures. I hunt these for the Feathers and Fire Crystals they drop.

A fella in the bar in the Port of Bastok asked me to meet someone coming off the airship while wearing a Shell Sheild. I did as he asked and he gave me a Spatha! I use it now that I am able to but it was a good task to complete for such a fabulous reward. I also visited the Gusgen Mines and delivered a report from the Mine Foreman to the Prince's gaurd. It was awesome to meet the Prince because he came out and read my report as I handed it to the guard!

I also delivered a letter from a worried wife to a miner in the Gusgen Mine. She was pleased and gave me a small reward. I didn't mind doing this for her.

Rumor has it a lady in a house by the Goldsmith's Guild needs Flintstones but everytime I try to sell her some she tells me she doesn't need any. What's the deal?

Meager Start

I walk out onto the sunny tundra outside the great Bastok city gates. My signet shines proudly. I place my hand on it and look around me. Huge Hornets and Tunnels Worms seem to becken me. I check them and see that they are a decent challenge for me. We all start somewhere... to battle!

The experience, crystals and other things the beats I engaged where worthwhile. I was getting tired though and made my way back to the city. I approached the Auction House and sold all the Wind Crystals that the Huge Hornets had dropped. I think I got 1,200 Gil for them! I decided to keep the same armour because I didn't see a need to replace my still fairly new tunic. I did buy a Brass Cap though.

I met Bachiko that day. He gave me a Brass Sword and a Lauan Sheild. Its fairly nice to have more than a dagger between me and the enemy! After taking a Copper Ingot to a smith who refused to join the Goldsmith's Guild I went outside with my new aquitance and we scavenged the Huge Hornets and Tunnel Worms until we both had enough to sell the bunches at the Auction House.

I have been using the spell Dia frequently but at my fourth level I bought Cure. I was very happy because this was the first spell I had learned since my coming to Bastok.

In the beginning...

I arrived in Vana'diel a couple weeks ago but I really didn't have time to blog until today. I wish I started right away but it has been really busy because of the move to this new world. There are a few folks I know from experiences elsewhere (heheh work) and they gave me a World Pass and I used it to log onto the Fairy server.

I am Cromwell. I am Hume. I have tan skin with the tatoos on the face with reddish hair. I started in Bastok and I chose the Red Mage job. I have a lot of hope for the coming months and my existance in this world. I had a previous life as Creswell but he died in a tragic battle in Jeuno. Coming to Vana'diel a second time with the experiences of the first life fresh in mind I think I will be better prepared. (Ok ok, my previous charecter was ok but I made a lot of mistakes so I started over)

I started as any new adventurer in Bastok or in Vana'diel for that matter. The Tunic was still clean. I equipped my Onion Dagger, put on my Bastokian Ring which was a gift from the King to all new citizens who pledge their allegience to Bastok, receited the words of my dusty Dia scroll I had sitting in my backpack, and set out towards the city gates.
